Introducing Shawn Cuffie, the creative mind behind ArtXperiential, a not-for-profit organization that creates solutions and outlets to overcome the obstacles that youth and at-risk communities face in the Arts and Sports industries. Through a combination of innovative initiatives and transformative experiences with mentors and partners, the ArtXperiential team encourages the Black community to do better.
Shawn has been active in the Arts and Entertainment industry for the last three decades, working in the dance, fashion, music, and film/TV industries. In addition to the Black Diamond Ball, which he founded in 2015 to celebrate black culture, showcase artists, support Black youth and Black-owned businesses across Canada, Shawn has staged hundreds of successful events across North America.
Among others, he has executed large-scale corporate and charitable events for Pepsi, TD Bank, Rogers Communications, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Air Canada, Royal Ontario Museum, Art Gallery of Ontario, The Toronto Design Exchange, Miss Canada World Pageant, Pride Events, Charity Fashion Shows and Live Music Events.

The Black Diamond Ball, which is free and open to everyone, is an epic celebration of Black culture and in addition to supporting #SafeSpace365 and the OCAD-U’s Black Youth Design Initiative, through a number of brand new initiatives and partnerships, there is a specific focus on connecting the community.
The new virtual online marketplace shines a spotlight on Black-owned businesses, while among other notable leaders, the series of twice-weekly workshops, hosted by the likes of Canada’s Queen of R&B Soul, Jully Black and two-time Canadian 100m champion, RBC Olympian, and Canada’s Amazing Race candidate, Sam Effah, has been designed to offer the community top-tips and insight into business and the arts from the best in the game.
Did I mention that Jully Black will also be headlining and joined by some of Canada’s top talent, including Drae Ennnis’ Soul Sessions, R&B singer Jermaine Jones, AfroBeats singer Jon Ogah and many more!
