Lisa began her career in 1996, delivering frontline support to organizations in all areas of human resources. Lisa has developed direct experience in a range of industries including software development, information technology, power, utilities, construction, food and manufacturing. Firms such as Symantec, Intek Communications, Keating Technologies, Cara Foods and Robert Half.

As a baccalaureate in Human Resources Management minoring in HR Law at York University, Lisa has completed her diploma in Human Resources Management from Centennial College and later went on to complete her post-graduate diploma program also from Centennial College. Lisa is WSIB certified by WSIB and can help ensure that companies are in the right code paying the premiums that are best suited to that firm. More recent Lisa attended Osgoode Law Hall and successfully obtained her certificate in Advanced Human Resources Law for Senior HR Executives.
Lisa has spoken on many panels including Centennial College, Trent University, TriOs College and Pathway To Success for newcomers. Lisa has been the key guest speaker for WMRCC (Women’s Multicultural Resource and Counselling Centre – Durham). Speaking on many topics including what it takes to achieve gainful employment within Canada. Lisa has been a guest speaker multiple times for Small Business Women Network. Lisa has taught a few introductory classes, been a guest speaker and mentor at the Community Innovation Labs in Whitby. Lisa has been a guest on television shows many times. Lisa and her team have developed various courses for those that need further information in such areas as Human Resources and Entrepreneurship.

Lisa has received awards such as; 2015 for Rising Star of the year and featured in HRD Magazine, 2016 was one of 9 finalists for HR Advisor/Consultancy of the year for all of Canada out of over 35,0000 HR professionals. In 2017 nominated again for HR Consultancy/Advisor of the year for all of Canada, Nominated for Business Person of the year, won the 2017 Business Excellence of the year award; in 2018 won Leading Women, Leading Girls award and again nominated in 2018 for Business Person of the Year and Business Excellence of the year awards. Special guest, Tracey Field, advocate for disability rights.

Tracey was born in London, England and raised in Canada. She returned to England to live for 7 years and currently resides in Mississauga with her two lovely teenage children and her friendly dog.

Diagnosed with Pulmonary Sarcoidosis in 1986, she continued to battle with the disease, advancing her to Stage 4 in 2010 and at that point, she was placed on 24 hours oxygen therapy. Throughout this journey with this dreadful illness, she continued with her studies earning herself a Law Procedures Certificate from Ryerson University, Business Administration Diploma from Humber College and a B.A. degree in Law and Justice from Laurentian University graduating Cum Laude.

Through her Christian faith, she has continued to learn new activities while on oxygen such as kayaking and going to the pool with her oxygen tank! Living with a disability and navigating the many limitations that affect those with disabilities and special needs has made her want to advocate for disability rights.

Kaukab Usman has broad experience of working with marginalized communities in education and international development sectors which may also be called the non-profit sector on social justice issues.
She is driven by her passion to help people in any way possible. She has recently launched a non-profit organization by the name of CEIIP (Center for Economic Integration of Immigrant Professionals) to assist professional immigrants in Canada who are struggling with social and economic integration issues. She was inspired to create this platform after witnessing the barriers diaspora encounters to settle in a new country they call home.
