Bio

Lenore “Lolo” Clarke is passionate about helping those with mental health challenges and has made it her mission to combat stigma and harmful, negative ideations surrounding mental health challenges through education and awareness. Lolo is currently a student at the University of Toronto completing her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Health Studies. Her aim is to educate people about the biological basis of mental health as well as to encourage people to view their health in a holistic manner. Armed as a mental health advocate herself, Lolo has joined the fight to appeal to policymakers to make mental health a priority on the political agenda.

Lolo and her business partner and fellow mental health advocate P. Elijah Marie have specially designed mental health workshops that cater to the needs of the community, particularly racialized communities where stigma and lack of awareness remain rampant. My business partner Elijah Marie and I both have a passion to change and affect lives, particularly those with mental health uniquenesses as Elijah Marie calls it. Which means differences celebrated.

We’ve partnered with Unison Health and Community Services http://unisonhcs.org/ which provides programs and services to people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds. There are services that are free, confidential and non-judgmental. Which goes along with our own values.

We strive to provide support, community, change, voices heard and healing within these workshops as empowerment through education is our goal.
